What are the equipment requirements for the ADTRAN 601QV?
  1. Fiber Connection
    • Type: Single-mode fiber (SMF)
    • Connector: SC/APC
    • Service Type: GPON (ITU-T G.984 compliant)
    • Signal Strength: Typically requires an optical power level between –8 dBm and –28 dBm
      (outside of this range, the optical LED may go red or fail to sync)
  1. Power Supply
    • Input: 100–240V AC (via standard wall outlet)
    • Output: 12V DC, 1A (supplied by external power adapter)
    • PoE Support: Not supported
      The 601qv must be powered via its DC barrel connector
  1. Ethernet Connection
    • Port Type: 1× RJ-45 port
    • Speed: Supports 2.5 GbE (also backward compatible with 1 Gbps or 100 Mbps)
    • Cable: Use at least Cat 5e for 1 Gbps, and Cat 6 or Cat 6a recommended for full 2.5 Gbps

      • Ensure it supports 5 GbE WAN if you want full speed
      • Some ISPs may require MAC address registration or cloning
Where can I find manuals, firmware, default credentials, or management access?

This ONT—like most SDX Series ONTs—is fully managed through the Service Provider’s OLT via OMCI. As such, there is no local web interface, SSH, or default IP/user/password visible to end users. All provisioning, diagnostics, and firmware updates are handled remotely from the operator’s network
